Why I Started This Blog...
I started this blog because I am FED UP. I love science fiction literature and movies, especially stories of dystopia and apocalypse but I'm frustrated with the lack of black women in science fiction. Where are we? Well, I'll tell you where we are, sitting on our collective asses complaining about how WE are never (or rarely) featured in science fiction. Well, I for one got tired of being tired and decided to do something about.
1. I began writing my own science fiction series After The Darkness featuring a young black female protagonist.
2. I started this blog to serve as an online LIVING museum of black women in science fiction. This blog will provide a compilation of videos, articles and links to blogs, websites, books and movies featuring black female characters in science fiction or black female science fiction writers.
